Joyce L. Walker, Board Member
Joyce L. Walker, MSSA, is Director of Community Relations for PK Management, LLC where she is responsible for developing the company’s community relations department, managing the Social Service Coordination Program and oversees the grant writing and administration.
Under her leadership, the Social Service Coordinator Program has received more than $2.7 million dollars in grant funds for the support of the program, since 2010.
Ms. Walker has Bachelor Degrees in Sociology and Business Administration, a Master’s Degree in Social Administration and Social Work from Case Western Reserve University and has completed additional post graduate studies at Harvard University.
In addition, Ms. Walker is board eligible for the Licensed Independent Social Worker (L.I.S.W) Psychotherapy designation. A member of the Ohio Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), she has over twenty years of experience in the field of social work with families, children and the elderly as well as fifteen years of experience in the housing industry related to families and the elderly.
Ms. Walker contributes to local community organizations and boards regarding elder care, community resources, and mental health issues and marketing. Ms. Walker is a member of the American Society on Aging (ASA), where she serves on their Minority Concerns Advisory Board and is a recent graduate of their New Ventures in Leadership Program – a program designed to enhance leadership skills by empowering leaders to assume roles in their communities and local organizations.
Ms. Walker is a proud member of the Cleveland Chapter of the Urban League and serves on the Benjamin Rose Institute Advisory Board, the Perlman Foundation Board of Directors, and is the former President of the Lambda Phi Omega graduate chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, where she currently serves as Vice President of the its foundation.
